I have never felt so welcome at an establishment anywhere in the world! There was so much warmth and most impressively (due to our limited Japanese) there was so much humour and laughter! The master in the kitchen provided excellent food and whiskey while Eiji provided the hilarity and his times. I thoroughly enjoyed the food that is put in front of us and a bonus knowing Eiji had provided the octopus. The other patrons were so friendly and the atmosphere was wicked. 11/10.

One of those traditional, lowkey but amazing sushi restaurants that you hope to come across at least once every trip you make to Japan. Though the setting is unassuming and humble, the quality of sushi that you can enjoy here is incredibly good. If you are lucky, as I was, to be served by the Master himself (Kuniaki-san), you will definitely be in for a treat. Every piece handcrafted with all the love, skill and attention that only a mastery through the years can bring. Aside from that, he is also a very warm, wise and friendly man Highly recommend to start with their Daily Recommendation Set (今日のおすすめ). After that, just follow your heart (or stomach) and order what you like a la carte
